8 Remove bolts (4) and detach brake caliper support (5) together with brake caliper (3) NOTES Do not unscrew bolts (9) completely. The brake caliper (3) and brake caliper support (5) must not be separated.
Otherwise an optimum alignment of the brake caliper (3) to the brake disk (1) can no longer be guaranteed, which results in higher wear and an incorrect contact pattern.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace screws/bolts (4).

9 Pad brake caliper (3) and attach to the vehicle free of tension NOTES Do not kink or tension brake hose (6).
Otherwise the brake hose (6) will be damaged.
IMPORTANT Do not damage paint of brake caliper (3).

10 Remove brake linings (2) from brake caliper (3) INSTALLATION NOTES Do not apply any brake paste or lubricants to brake pads (2) and brake calipers (3).
Malfunctions may occur otherwise.
IMPORTANT Do not release or pull out the screw bolt (7), push brake linings (2) against force of retaining springs (8) off the screw bolts (7).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only sets of brake linings (2) approved by Mercedes-Benz may be installed.

INSPECT Check
11 Check brake caliper (3) for leaktightness and check dust boots If damaged or leaking:

14 Pull right front brake wear sensor (S10/2) out of pad backing plate of brake lining (2) Only when replacing the brake linings (2) or if the front right brake wear sensor (S10/2) is defective.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace the defective right front brake wear sensor (S10/2).

15 Install in the reverse order
DANGER Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work. Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system. AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
16 Depress brake pedal several times until brake linings (2) lie against brake disks (1) IMPORTANT Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.
