Remove/install COMAND controller unit - AR82.85-P-1100LF

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Connect diagnostic system and perform initial startup of COMAND controller unit (A40/3) When replacing the COMAND controller unit (A40/3).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key    
3 Remove center console MODEL 217, 222.0/1 AR68.20-P-2000LF
4 Loosen screw/bolts (1) at locks (2) IMPORTANT Screws/bolts (1) remain at locks (2).  
5 Guide COMAND controller unit (A40/3) at locks (2) out of instrument panel    
6 Remove COMAND controller unit (A40/3) from locks (2) until black connector (3) and electrical connectors (4) are accessible INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Retaining bolts (arrows A) of COMAND controller unit (A40/3) must be inserted in locks (2).  
7 Disconnect black connector (3) and electrical connectors (4) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (4) can vary depending on the equipment installed.  
8 Remove COMAND controller unit (A40/3) from vehicle    
9 Install in the reverse order
