	Install/remove
1.1	Remove upper engine covers (1, 2a, 2b)	Model 217 with engine 157, 278 Model 222 with engine 157, 278

2	Remove engine air intake ducts (3a, 3b)
3	Remove engine compartment covers (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d)
4	Remove air filter housing	Model 217, 222 with engine 157, 278 Model 222 with engine 276.9 Model 217, 222 with engine 157, 278	AR09.10-P-1150LFB
5	Detach coolant expansion reservoir and place it aside along with the connected lines		AR20.30-P-4950LF
6	Detach windshield washer system washer fluid reservoir and place to one side with lines still connected
7	Detach hydraulic fluid reservoir (ABC) and place to one side with lines still connected	Model 217 with engine 157, 278, 279 with code 487 (Active Body Control (ABC)) Model 222 with engine 157, 277, 278, 279 with code 487 (Active Body Control (ABC))	AR32.50-P-0022LF
8	Unclip cable duct from firewall and place to one side
9	Preassemble engine hoist (2)	Observe the manufacturer's assembly specifications and safety information. Engine lifting device	Fig 4
10	Mount preassembled engine hoist (2) on suspension strut towers and longitudinal member	Do not crush any lines and hoses in the area of the longitudinal member. Observe the manufacturer's assembly specifications and safety information.
11	Adjust engine hoist (2) and tighten bolted connections	Observe the manufacturer's assembly specifications and safety information.
12	Attach engine suspension lug to front of engine	Model 217 with engine 157, 278 Model 222 with engine 157, 278	AR33.10-P-0105-01SX
		Bolt, lifting eye to cylinder head	*BA01.30-P-1006-01X
