- Raise vehicle at corresponding jack support point (vehicle suspension must extend).
- Detach bolt (19a), nut (19d), washers (19b) and adjusting shim (19c) from lower transverse control arm (17).

The front threaded connection on the lower transverse control arm (17) must be loosened to correct the camber.
The rear bolted connection on the lower control arm (17) must be unfastened to correct the caster.
If the bolted connection has been unfastened, then the following parts must always be replaced too: Bolt (19a), washers (19b), adjusting plates (19c) and nut (19d)
Otherwise the axle geometry may change when the vehicle is driven.
Adjust camber and caster on front axle.
- Insert the new adjusting shims (19c) as determined to adjust camber and caster.
The adjusting shim number (a) is stamped on to the adjusting shim (19c). Make sure that two adjusting shims with the same adjusting shim number are used on each transverse control arm rubber bushing. The notch (arrow) must always point outwards toward the wheel.

Adjust camber on rear axle.
- Insert the new adjusting shims (19c) as determined to adjust camber.
Caster cannot be measured and adjusted on the rear axle.
The adjusting shim number (a) is stamped on to the adjusting shim (19c). Make sure that four adjusting shims with the same adjusting shim number are used on each transverse control arm (both elastomer bearings) rubber bushing. The notch (arrow) must always point outwards toward the wheel.

If there are no suitable adjusting shims for the required adjustment, the chassis is outside the tolerance and cannot be adjusted. The chassis, suspension and load-bearing body panels must then be checked for damage.
- Install new bolt (19a), new nut (19d) and new shims (19b).
Make sure that the adjusting shims (19c) are inserted all the way into the corresponding lower transverse control arm mount. Do not yet tighten the nut (19d) so that the elastomer bearings of the lower transverse control arm (17) turn when the vehicle is rocked to settle the suspension.
