- Enter customer data.
- Enter the tire data in the table "1. Tires".
- Copy the specified vehicle level values from the basic data into table "2. Vehicle level".
- Measure the actual values for the vehicle level and enter them.
- Copy the specified toe values from the basic data in table "3. Toe".
- Measure the actual values for the toe and enter them.
- Copy the specified camber values for the rear axle from the basic data to table "5. Rear axle camber" in the column Degrees (°)/minutes (').
- Measure the actual values for the rear axle camber and enter them.
- Convert the camber values for the rear axle into decimal degrees and enter them into the Decimal degrees (°)
column.
To help with conversion, use table "4. Conversion table, minutes to decimal degrees". Example: -1° 53 ' = -1.88 °.
- Calculate the difference value in camber at the rear axle and enter it into table "5. Rear axle camber" at position 5.1 and 5.2 Difference in camber (DS).
The difference value is the difference between the specified value and the actual value in decimal degrees (°). I.e. deduct the actual value from the specified value.
- Copy the specified camber values for the front axle from the basic data to table "6. Front axle camber" in the column Degrees (°)/minutes (').
- Measure the actual values for the front axle camber and enter them.
- Convert the camber values for the front axle into decimal degrees and enter them into the Decimal degrees (°)
column.
Determine the adjustment value for the rear axle
To help with conversion, use table "4. Conversion table, minutes to decimal degrees". Example: -1° 53 ' = -1.88 °.
- Calculate the difference value in camber at the front axle and enter it into table "6. Front axle camber" at position 6.1 and 6.2 Difference in camber (DS).

- Copy the specified caster values for the front axle from the basic data to table "7. Front axle caster" in the column Degrees (°)/minutes (').
- Measure the actual values for the front axle caster and enter them.
- Convert the caster values for the front axle into decimal degrees and enter them into the Decimal degrees (°)
column.
To help with conversion, use table "4. Conversion table, minutes to decimal degrees". Example: -1° 46 ' = -1.77 °.
- Calculate the difference value in caster at the front axle and enter it into table "7. Front axle camber" at position 7.1 and 7.2 Difference in caster (DN).
The difference value is the difference between the specified value and the actual value in decimal degrees (°). I.e. deduct the actual value from the specified value.
- Enter the difference value for the rear axle camber (DS) into the coordinate system "8 1 Read out rear axle adjustment value (f/r)" and into the following table.
The caster difference value at the rear axle (DN) is always 0.00° as a fixed value.
- Starting from the intersection of the difference value for the rear axle caster (DN) and the difference value for the rear axle camber (DS), read out the nearest rear axle adjustment value from the coordinate system "8.1 Read out rear axle adjustment value (f/r)" and enter it into the following table.
Example: If the difference value for the rear axle camber (DS) is -0.35° and the difference value for the rear axle caster (DN) is 0.00°, then the rear axle adjustment value (f/r) is 2/2.
Determine the adjustment value for the front axle
- Enter the difference value for the front axle camber (DS) into the coordinate system "8.2 Read out front axle adjustment value (f/r)" and into the following table.
- Enter the difference value for the front axle caster (DN) into the coordinate system "8.2 Read out front axle adjustment value (f/r)" and into the following table.
- Starting from the intersection of the difference value for the front axle caster (DN) and the difference value for the front axle camber (DS), read out the nearest front axle adjustment value from the coordinate system "8.1 Read out front axle adjustment value (f/r)" and enter it into the following table.
Example: If the difference value for the front axle camber (DS) is 0.55° and the difference value for the front axle caster (DN) is 0.66°, then the rear axle adjustment value (f/r) is -4/-1.
Determine adjusting shim number
- Enter the rear axle adjustment values into the table "Rear axle adjusting shim numbers".
- Enter the adjusting shim numbers (PN) currently installed at the lower rear axle control arms, front and rear, into the table "Rear axle adjusting shim numbers".
- Enter the front axle adjustment values into the table "Front axle adjusting shim numbers".
- Enter the adjusting shim numbers (PN) currently installed at the lower front axle control arms, front and rear, into the table "Front axle adjusting shim numbers".
- Using the rear and front axle adjustment values and the currently installed adjusting shim numbers (PN) in table "9. Determine adjusting shim numbers," read off and enter the new adjusting shim number into the following tables.
Example: If the adjustment value (VW) is 2 and the currently installed adjusting shim number (PN) is 7, the new adjusting shim number will be 5.
If the adjustment value (VW) is 2 and the currently installed adjusting shim number (PN) is 4, the new adjusting shim number will be 2.
If there is "-" instead of an adjusting shim number in the resulting field, the chassis is outside the tolerance and cannot be adjusted.
