Location 

The tire pressure monitor control unit is located on the underfloor above the rear axle.

Tasks 

The tire pressure monitoring system control unit has the following tasks:

Reading in of signals 

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

Two-way radio 

The following signals are read in using radio:

User interface CAN 

The following signals are received via the user interface CAN:

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor whereupon the information is then sent.

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor whereupon the information is then sent.

Transfer of information 

The tire pressure monitor control unit sends information over the user interface CAN to the instrument cluster, this information is then shown as menu displays and as warning messages.

Structure 

The central antenna is integrated in the tire pressure monitor control unit.
