The electric seats function description comprises the following subfunctions, which are described in separate documents:

• Electrical seat adjustment (ESA), function 
• Lumbar support adjustment function 
• Electric steering column adjustment function 

Electrical seat adjustment (ESA), function 

The following electrical driver and front passenger seat settings can be made with the ESE:

• Seat fore/aft position
• Backrest inclination
• Seat height
• Seat cushion inclination

The memory function can also be used to store and retrieve up to three different seat positions.

Lumbar support adjustment function 

In order to provide optimum support for the vertebral column, the backrest on the driver and front passenger seat each has a lumbar support unit integrated into it.

Electric steering column adjustment function 

The electrical steering column adjustment function enables various steering column positions to be adjusted to and stored. The easy entry/exit function allows the driver to get in or out of the vehicle easily. In the process the steering column is moved upwards before getting in or out.
