(Direction Of Travel Selection, Basic Function - GF08.00-P-1002A)
electric vehicles
Overview
This document contains information on:
- General
- Function requirements
- Function
In this case, reverse for the "R" drive range is implemented by means of the direction of rotation of the electric machine being reversed.
The current direction of travel will be shown on the driver display.
Drive range "N" is not implemented by a coupling being disengaged; instead, it is simulated by means of the electric machine being actuated accordingly.
In the case of vehicles with two machines, the information above applies to each machine.
General
The driver specifies the direction of travel with the aid of the drive range using the DIRECT SELECT selector lever.
Function requirements
- Circuit 15 ON
- Brake pedal operated
Function
The drivetrain control unit requests the direction of travel from the power electronics control unit based on the selector lever position. The power electronics control unit controls the electric machine with three-phase alternating voltage via the integrated power inverter.
