Climate Control Control Unit, Component Description - GF83.40-P-2250RR
Model 190
Location
The climate control control unit is located centrally on the front side of the air conditioner housing.
Task
The A/C control unit is responsible for the following tasks:
- Reading in of sensors and signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of sensors and signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
- Climate control LIN 1 (LIN B8-1)
- A/C operating unit LIN (LIN B8-3)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Interior temperature sensor (B10/4)
- Evaporator temperature sensor (B10/6)
- Left side air vent air outlet temperature sensor (B10/31)
- Right side air vent air outlet temperature sensor (B10/32)
- Left footwell vent air outlet temperature sensor (B10/35)
- Right footwell vent air outlet temperature sensor (B10/36)
- Refrigerant pressure sensor (B12)
- Sun sensor (B32/3)
- Interior temperature sensor with integrated fan (N70/3b1)
The interior temperature sensor and the interior temperature sensor with integrated fan have an integrated fan. The integrated fan sucks in air for temperature measurement from the vehicle interior.
Interior CAN
The signals are read in via the interior CAN. The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Climate control LIN 1
The signals from the following components are read in via climate control LIN 1:
- Dew point sensor (B11/12)
- Air quality sensor (B31)
- Vehicle interior humidity and temperature sensor (B82)
AC operation LIN
The climate control control unit reads in the signals from the climate control operating unit (N58/1) via climate control LIN.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN
- Climate control LIN 1
Direct line
The following components are actuated:
- Blower regulator (A32n1)
- Coolant circulation pump (M13/5)
Interior CAN
The signals are sent over the interior CAN.
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Climate control LIN 1
The following components are actuated over the climate control LIN 1:
- Fresh air/recirculated air flap actuator motor (M2/5)
- Left blend air flap actuator motor (M2/6)
- Right blend air flap actuator motor (M2/7)
- Footwell flap actuator motor (M2/15)
- Defroster flap actuator motor (M2/16)
- Center air vent flap actuator motor (M2/22)
- Ram air flap actuator motor (M2/34)
