This document contains information on the functions, location and structure of the Rear Seat Entertainment System control unit.

General

The Rear Seat Entertainment System control unit is the controller unit for the entertainment and communication systems integrated into the rear passenger compartment. Together with the head unit, the Rear Seat Entertainment System control unit forms the control for the multiseat entertainment system.

The Rear Seat Entertainment System control unit is connected to the vehicle's network architecture. The Rear Seat Entertainment System control unit is equipped with a high speed data line to the head unit and to the telematics services communication module. The Rear Seat Entertainment System control unit contains the following components:

WLAN receiver
Bluetooth® receiver
Voice control system
Map data memory

The Rear Seat-Entertainment System control unit is located in the trunk at the left behind the side trim.

The Rear Seat Entertainment System control unit has the following tasks:
