1. Turn engine at center bolt of crankshaft with the box wrench in direction of engine rotation and, in doing so, check the toothing of the ring gear of clutch plate (1) for damage.

   Only turn engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation using the specified box wrench.

   Otherwise, damage to the engine or even failure of the engine may occur.

   If damage is present:

   ↓

   Install new drive plate (1).

2. Insert retaining lock (2) into starter opening.

   If necessary, continue turning engine at center bolt of crankshaft with the box wrench in direction of engine rotation until retaining lock (2) engages.

3. Remove in the reverse order.
