Remove/Install SAM Control Unit, Passenger Side - AR54.21-P-1257RG

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Commission front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) When replacing front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
2 Switch off ignition, remove transmitter key if necessary and place transmitter key down outside of KEYLESS-GO transmission range    
3 Remove cover (1)    
4 Unscrew nuts (2)    
5 Remove support with dampening (3)    
6 Disconnect electrical connection (4)    
7 Unclip retaining clip (6)    
8 Unclip bracket (5)    
9 Unclip electrical connection for chassis CAN 1 (CAN E1) potential distributor (X30/30) and place to one side    
10 Remove bolts (7) and nut (8) and pass out front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) until the electrical connections are accessible INSTALLATION NOTES
Make sure that no electrical lines are jammed.
Otherwise, the electrical system may be damaged.
 
11 Disconnect electrical connections (9, 10, 11) REMOVAL NOTES
The circuit 30 electrical connections (9, 10, 11) must be disconnected first.
In order to avoid short circuits.
INSTALLATION NOTES
The circuit 30 electrical connections (9, 10, 11) must be connected last.
In order to avoid short circuits.
 
12 Detach all electrical connections from the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and then remove the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors depends on the vehicle equipment.  
13 Compare population of new front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) with old front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1), adapt population to suit if necessary When replacing the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).  
14 Install in the reverse order
