Location
The AMG chassis control unit is mounted on the driver side behind the seat.
Task
The AMG suspension control unit has the following tasks:

Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in over the following connections:
- AMG CAN (CAN AMG)
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
- Drive train CAN (CAN C1)
- Chassis CAN 1 (CAN E1)
- Vehicle dynamics CAN (CAN H)
AMG CAN
The AMG suspension control unit also receives the following information via the AMG CAN:
- Signals of left active engine mount pressure sensor (Y123b1)
- Signals of right active engine mount pressure sensor (Y123/1b1)
- Signals of left active transmission mount pressure sensor (Y124b1)
- Signals of right active transmission mount pressure sensor (Y124/1b1)
- Status of left active engine mount coil (Y123l1)
- Status of right active engine mount coil (Y123/1l1)
- Status of left active transmission mount coil (Y124l1)
- Status of right active transmission mount coil (Y124/1I1)
- Driving situation
- Monitored road surface
Interior CAN
The AMG suspension control unit also receives the following information via the interior CAN:
- Circuit 15 status
- Circuit 50 status
Drive train CAN
The AMG suspension control unit also receives the following information via the drive CAN:
- Accelerator pedal position
- Engine running status
- Engine torque
- Specified gear
- Torque of start-off clutch
- Output speed of transmission
Chassis CAN 1
The AMG suspension control unit also receives the following information via chassis CAN 1:
- Status of brake pedal
- ESP® status
- ESP® mode
- Brake torque
- Wheel speed
- Yaw rate
- Longitudinal acceleration
- Lateral acceleration
- Steering wheel angle and velocity
- Vehicle acceleration
- Active damping control mode
Vehicle dynamics CAN
The AMG suspension control unit also receives the following information via the vehicle dynamics CAN:
- Yaw rate
- Longitudinal acceleration
- Lateral acceleration
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor whereupon the relevant signals are then issued.
Output of signals
The signals are issued over the following connections:
- AMG CAN
- Chassis CAN 1

- Engine running status
- Circuit 15 status
