There are two methods for processing seam seals
Shown on model 190.3, area of left engine compartment, wheel well and longitudinal member
- Seal spot welds and rivets in repaired area with sealant or seam seal
Insert stop plug and rubber grommets with sealant Keep thread of weld nuts and threaded pins free from sealing compound via masking off or covering with cardboard sleeves attachments windows or detachable parts free from sealant compound Seal accessible spot weld flanges on both sides. If accessible from one side, only seal corresponding surface. Observe standard sealing.
