MODIFICATION NOTES

The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage, these steps must be similarly performed on the right side of the vehicle.
- Expose self-pierce rivets on rear longitudinal member end plate (4) and drill off (area C2).
- Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Heat flow drill screws and self-tapping fillister head screws on rear longitudinal member end plate (4) with heat gun and remove (area C1).
Flow drill screws and self-tapping fillister head screws are bonded.
- Heat rear longitudinal member end plate (4) in cross-hatched areas with heat gun.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.
- Remove damaged rear longitudinal member end plate (4).
- Heat flow drill screws and self-tapping fillister head screws on lower A-pillar reinforcement with heat gun and remove (area G1).
Flow drill screws and self-tapping fillister head screws are bonded.
- Expose weld seams on lower A-pillar reinforcement and on side longitudinal member (1) and cut off (areas H1 and H2).
- Expose weld seams on side longitudinal member (1) and cut off (areas H3 to H7).
- Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Heat flow drill screws and self-tapping fillister head screws on side longitudinal member (1) with heat gun and remove (areas G2 and G3).
Flow drill screws and self-tapping fillister head screws are bonded.
- Expose self-pierce rivets on side longitudinal member (1) and unrivet with rivet press tool (area K).
- Expose weld seams around holder (6), cut off and remove holder (6).
- Expose weld seams on side longitudinal member (1) and cut off (area J).
- Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Heat side longitudinal member (1) in cross-hatched areas with heat gun.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.
- Remove damaged side longitudinal member (1).
- Level mating surfaces on body in cross-hatched areas and grind down to bare metal.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and weld joints.
- Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
