The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.
All spare parts required for this repair can basically be fully or partially replaced. Observe series production joining connections and bonded connections.

- Expose self-pierce rivets on front wheel well (1) and remove with rivet press tool (area A).
- Expose self-pierce rivets on center wheel well (2) and remove with rivet press tool (area B).
- Expose self-pierce rivets on rear wheel well (4) and remove with rivet press tool (areas C, D, E).
- Expose and cut off weld seam on rear wheel well (4) (area F).

- Heat front wheel well (1), center wheel well (2) and rear wheel well (4) with a heat gun in cross-hatched areas.
Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.
- Remove damaged front wheel well (1), center wheel well (2) and rear wheel well (4).

- Grind mating surfaces on body down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
- Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
