The following steps are shown on new parts on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Grind mating surfaces on end plate (2) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

2. Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.

4. Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
