Cross Member Below Front Seat Preparation - Ar63.40-P-1190-02RG

Model 190 

The following steps are shown on new parts on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Grind mating surfaces for bonded connections on crossmembers (1 and 2) and reinforcements (1a and 2a) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

2. Grind mating surfaces for weld joints on crossmembers (1 and 2) and reinforcements (1a and 2a) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.

   Prepare welds by grind down to bare metal with stainless steel brush.

3. Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
