Cross Member Below Front Seat Installation - Ar63.40-P-1190-03RG

IMPORTANT The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. This must be similarly performed for damage to the right side of the vehicle.

Shown on model 190.4 

  1. Install crossmember (1 and 2) and fit.
  2. Fix crossmember (1 and 2) inside in place and tack weld with welder (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) (areas A, B, C and D).

    IMPORTANT When MIG welding (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) prepare welds by grinding down to bare metal with stainless steel brush. The weld seams must be tacked at the start, end and around every 4 cm.

  3. Check weld seam gap.

    IMPORTANT The weld seam gap must not be larger than 1 mm; if necessary, make an add-on seam weld.

  4. Weld crossmembers (1 and 2) inside with welder (SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD ) (areas A, B, C and D).

    IMPORTANT When MIG welding (SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD ), prepare welds by grinding down to bare metal with stainless steel brush directly before welding. Tack weld seams at start, end and approx. every 4 cm. Weld seam gap should not be greater than 1 mm; if required, create a pre-seam.

  5. Tack weld crossmembers (1 and 2) at bottom with welder (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) (areas E, F, G and H).

    IMPORTANT When MIG welding (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) prepare welds by grinding down to bare metal with stainless steel brush. The weld seams must be tacked at the start, end and around every 4 cm.

  6. Check weld seam gap.

    IMPORTANT The weld seam gap must not be larger than 1 mm; if necessary, make an add-on seam weld.

  7. Tack weld crossmembers (1 and 2) at bottom with welder (SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD ) (areas E, F, G and H).

    IMPORTANT When MIG welding (SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD ), prepare welds by grinding down to bare metal with stainless steel brush directly before welding. Tack weld seams at start, end and approx. every 4 cm. Weld seam gap should not be greater than 1 mm; if required, create a pre-seam.

  8. Clean weld seams on crossmembers (1 and 2) at bottom and level (areas E, F, G and H).
  9. Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  10. Fix reinforcements (3 and 4) inside in place and tack weld with welder (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) (areas I and J).

    IMPORTANT When MIG welding (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) prepare welds by grinding down to bare metal with stainless steel brush. The weld seams must be tacked at the start, end and around every 4 cm.

  11. Check weld seam gap.

    IMPORTANT The weld seam gap must not be larger than 1 mm; if necessary, make an add-on seam weld.

  12. Weld reinforcements (3 and 4) inside with welder (SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD ) (areas I and J).
