IMPORTANT When MIG welding (SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD ), prepare welds by grinding down to bare metal with stainless steel brush directly before welding. Tack weld seams at start, end and approx. every 4 cm. Weld seam gap should not be greater than 1 mm; if required, create a pre-seam.

  12. Tack weld center main floor reinforcement (1) at bottom to firewall crossmember and to rear wall crossmember with welder (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) (areas H and I).

IMPORTANT When MIG welding (SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD ) prepare welds by grinding down to bare metal with stainless steel brush. The weld seams must be tacked at the start, end and around every 4 cm.

  13. Check weld seam gap.

IMPORTANT The weld seam gap must not be larger than 1 mm; if necessary, make an add-on seam weld.

  14. Weld center main floor reinforcement (1) at bottom with welder (SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD ) (areas H and I).
