Do not touch bonding surface (D) in crosshatched area with bare fingers and they should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues. Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

Only use materials from window repair kit approved and always observe processing notes included. Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

If new parts are installed during body repair in the area of the carbon roof, mask bonding surfaces before painting. Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

Ensure that adhesive material is applied only to present adhesive beads, which have been cut down, or to the original factory primer or repair primer approved by Daimler. Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

Prepare mating surfaces on vehicle for center roof paneling

Cut off residual adhesive material on body flange down to a height of approx. 1 mm with suitable scraper.
Remove glue residues cut off from body flange.
Repair paint damage on body flange.
Use only primers and paints approved by Daimler AG: https://portal.aftersales.i.daimler.com
Apply primer in gluing area if glue residues are not present.
Observe processing notes for primer. Flash-off time min. 10 minutes. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease when installing the carbon roof.

Apply primer only after primer has dried. Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.
