INSPECT Check
1 Assess brakepad thickness (1) of brakepads on front axle. IMPORTANT If necessary, use a flashlight (2) or a mirror (3). The thickness of the pad backing plate can be used as a reference when assessing the brake lining thickness (1).
    Brake pad *BE42.10-P-1001-05ZA
If, in exceptional cases, assessment through visual inspection is not possible.

Remove front wheels and assess them.

    IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
2 Assess brakepad thickness (1) of brakepads on rear axle. IMPORTANT If necessary, use a flashlight (2) or a mirror (3). The thickness of the pad backing plate can be used as a reference when assessing the brake lining thickness (1).
    Brake pad *BE42.10-P-1001-15V
If, in exceptional cases, assessment through visual inspection is not possible.

Remove rear wheels and assess them.

    IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
3 Determine expected remaining distance of brakepads. NOTES
If the wear limit for the brakepads has been reached, replace brakepads. After obtaining special order.
Otherwise the braking effect may be impaired and people, property and environmental damage may result.

IMPORTANT To determine the prospective remaining distance for each axle, refer to the brakepad with the least brakepad thickness (1).
In order to avoid an unscheduled workshop visit between services, determine the remaining distance of the present brakepads.
If the remaining distance determined is less than the next service interval, advise the customer to replaced the brakepads before the due service date.
