General

The "Correct drive torque" function fulfills the following tasks in the case of dynamic cornering under load:

Function requirements

Function

During dynamic cornering, the wheel load of the drive gear on the inside of the curve decreases. As a result of the reduced wheel load, the drive gear can transfer less drive torque. The unburdened drive gear reaches the slip limit faster and begins to spin. The "Correct drive torque" function controls the targeted pressure buildup on the service break of the drive gear on the inside of the curve. This prevents the drive gear on the inside of the curve from spinning and moves the drive torque to the drive gear on the outside of the curve.

The wheel braking torque for the drive gear on the inside of the curve is calculated depending on the following factors:

A higher total drive torque can be transferred by targeted brake application. A higher lateral acceleration and higher cornering speed are achieved.
