General
In order to guarantee safe braking, subsystems intervene by checking, optimizing or regulating.
Function
Distributing brake force
In order to prevent the rear wheels from locking, a part of the brake force is transferred from the rear wheels to the front wheels.
Dry braking
Dry braking improves the response time of the service brake when driving in wet conditions. The brake linings strip the water film from the brake disks.
Precharging brake system
Precharging of the brake system serves to ensure that the required braking power for the driving situation is reached faster and that the braking distance is shortened.
Amplifying brake force
The function detects emergency braking situations by means of rapid brake pedal actuation. It increases, if necessary the brake pressure, up the to ABS controlled range, in order to achieve the maximum possible deceleration.
