Check X-direction
- Completely roll up crank window (1).
- Check gap dimension at measuring position X-direction (3A, 3B) with
, adjust if necessary.
Measuring position X-direction dimension (3A, 3B) = 10, 0 mm (±1, 0 mm)
Checking Y-pretension
- Check transition between crank window (1) and triangular window (4) with
, adjust if necessary.
Measuring position Y-direction (5) dimension (d) = 0, 0 mm (±1, 0 mm)
- Close front door (2) and lower crank window (1) by dimension (c).
Dimension (c) = 20 mm
- Check distance on measuring position Y-direction (6) between crank window (1) and triangular window (4) with
.
Measuring position Y-direction (6) = min. 10 mm.
Adjust
- Check position of triangular window (4) on weatherstrip rail (7) and seal (8) as well as gap dimension between triangular side window (4) and side window, if necessary repeat settings.
Measuring position: 30 mm from sealing edge, gap dimension: 10 mm ± 1 mm)
- Loosen nut (9) with socket wrench
and adjust position of triangular window (4) by turning adjustment screw (10) to corresponding direction.
- Turning the adjustment screw (10) clockwise tilts the triangular window (4) inward in the lower area increasing the initial tension. Turning the adjustment screw (10) counterclockwise tilts the triangular window (4) outward in the lower area decreasing the initial tension.
- Tighten jam nut on adjustment screw (10)
.
Observe specified tightening torque.
