Check
- Close front door and engage in first detent of door lock.
Side window (1) must be in short stroke position for test.
- Use a paper strip (3) to check contact of side window (1) with rear seal (2) at intersection point (arrow A).
It must be possible to push paper strip (3) without resistance between side window (1) and rear seal (2). Side window (1) must be in contact with rear seal (2) without pressure at intersection point (arrow A).
- Fully close front door and check entry of side window (1) in A-pillar seal (4) (arrows B).
The front window edge of side window (1) may not make contact with the A-pillar seal at an angle and not squeeze into A-pillar seal (4) during entry.
Adjust
- Open front door.
- Remove covers of screws (5) and release screws (5).
- Reduce or increase preload at side window (1) by pulling outwards or pressing inwards in upper area of side window (1), hold side window (1) and tighten screws (5).
Helper required.
- Check preload of side window (1) again and repeat adjustment procedure if required.
If side window (1) cannot be sufficiently adjusted by means of described method.

Release counter nut of screw (7) and adjust preload by turning screw (7)

Turning screw (7) in clockwise direction tilts side window (1) inwards in upper area. Preload thereby increases. Turning screw (7) in counterclockwise direction tilts side window (1) outwards in upper area. Preload thereby decreases.
- Tighten counter nut of screw (7), check preload of side window (1) again and repeat adjustment procedure if required.
If side window was adjusted by means of screw (7).
