Left Front Door Control Unit, Component Description - GF72.29-P-6001RR
Model 190
The component description of the left door control unit (N69/1) refers to left-hand drive vehicles. Special considerations on right-hand drive vehicles are documented in the wiring diagram.
Show on model 190
Location
The left door control unit is located on the rear door module of the door panel.
Tasks
The left door control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
- Transmitting signals
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Left door LIN (LIN B5)
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Left door rotary tumbler switch (A85s1)
- Hall for left power window motor (M10/3)
- Left outside mirror (M21/1):
- Vertical inclination adjustment potentiometer (M21/1r2) (with CODE P64 (Memory package))
- Horizontal inclination adjustment potentiometer (M21/1r3) (with CODE P64 (Memory package))
- Trunk lid/liftgate release button (S15/1)
- Left door central locking inside door handle switch (S85/5):
- Open central locking switch (S85/5s1)
- Close central locking switch (S85/5s2)
Left door LIN
The signals for the following components are read in via the left door LIN:
- Driver-side power window and outside mirror adjustment switch group (S20):
- Driver side power window switch (S20s1)
- Passenger-side power window switch (S20s2)
- Outside mirror fold-in/out switch (S20s9) (with CODE P49 (Mirror package))
- Left outside mirror adjustment switch (S20s10)
- Right outside mirror adjustment switch (S20s11)
- Outside mirror adjustment switch (S20s12)
- Left seat adjustment switch group (S22) (with CODE P64 (Memory package)):
- Left seat inclination adjustment switch (S22s2)
- Left seat longitudinal adjustment switch (S22s3)
- Left seat height adjustment switch (S22s4)
- Left seat backrest switch (S22s5)
- Left memory function switch (S22s6)
- Left memory switch 1 (S22s7)
- Left memory switch 2 (S22s8)
- Left memory switch 3 (S22s9)
The left front door control unit supplies the connected control elements with c. 58d.
Interior CAN
The following signals, among others, are read in via interior CAN:
- Terminal status of terminal 15
- 'Reverse gear engaged' signal
- Open/close central locking (CL) request
- Crash signal
- Move to short stroke position, request
- PRE-SAFE® adjustment request (with CODE 299 (PRE-SAFE® system))
- Request to move to memory position (with CODE P64 (Memory package))
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The following components are actuated via direct lines:
- Left door central locking motor A85m1
- Left front door additional door lock actuator motor (A85m4) (Right-hand drive vehicle with CODE 885 (Increased theft protection))
- Left outside mirror turn signal lamp (E6/5)
- Left power window motor
- Left outside mirror:
- Left outside mirror ambient lamp (M21/1e1)
- Left blind assist warning lamp (M21/1e2) (with CODE 22P (Lane package))
- Mirror dimming (M21/1h1) (with CODE P49 (Mirror package))
- Vertical inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/1m1)
- Horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/1m2)
- Outside mirror fold in/out electric motor (M21/1m3) (with CODE P49 (Mirror package))
- Mirror heater (M21/1r1)
Transmitting signals
The following signals are also sent over the interior CAN:
- Open/close passenger power window request
- Adjusting right outside mirror request
- Convenience feature mode
- Convenience feature direction
- Status of CL
- Door status (open/closed)
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
