Model 190
The following operation steps are shown on both body components. In principle, this repair can take place completely or in part. Standard joints and adhesive joints should be used.
Shown on model 190.3
- Expose and drill off self-pierce rivets between left rear floor connecting part (1a) and right rear floor connecting part (1b) (area A).
- Expose and drill off self-piece rivets on left rear floor connecting part (1a) and right rear floor connecting part (1b) (area B).
- Expose weld joints on left rear floor connecting part (1a) and right rear floor connecting part (1b) and cut off (areas E1 and E2).
- Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
- Heat flow drill bolts and self-tapping fillister head bolts on left rear floor connecting part (1a) and right rear floor connecting part (1b) with heat gun and remove (areas C, D1 and D2).
Flow drill screws and self-tapping fillister head screws are bonded.
- Heat left rear floor connecting part (1a) and right rear floor connecting part (1b) in cross-hatched area with heat gun.
Cross-hatched area is bonded.
- Remove damaged left rear floor connecting part (1a) and right rear floor connecting part (1b).
- Level mating surfaces on body in cross-hatched areas and grind down to bare metal.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and weld joints.
- Remove shavings using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
