| 1 | Eliminate vacuum in BAS brake booster (A7/7) | ||
| 2 | Detach vacuum line (1a) and vacuum line with check valve (1b) | If necessary. |

| 3 | Remove cover over left suspension strut tower | When removing vacuum line with check valve (1b). | |
| 4 | Remove cover (3) of cable duct | When removing vacuum line with check valve (1b). | |
| 5 | Remove upper engine cover | When removing vacuum line (1a). | |
| 6 | Remove left air duct segment | Model 166.063 with engine 276 | |
| 7 | Remove left-hand air filter housing | Model 166.063 with engine 276 | AR09.10-P-1150GQC |
| 8 | Disconnect vacuum line with check valve (1b) from BAS brake booster (A7/7) and remove | When removing vacuum line with check valve (1b). |

| 9 | Detach vacuum hose (4) from vacuum pump (1a) | When removing vacuum line (1a). | |
| 10 | Unlock vacuum line (1a) and pull off vacuum pump (5) | When removing vacuum line (1a). | |
| 11 | Unclip vacuum line (1a) to electric vacuum pump (6) from soundproofing of left cylinder head | Model 166.063 with engine 276 | |
| 12 | Detach vacuum line (1a) from electric vacuum pump (6) | Model 166.063 with engine 276 | |
| 13 | Release vacuum line (1a) and detach from fitting behind vacuum reservoir | When removing vacuum line (1a). | |
| 14 | Release vacuum line (1a) and detach from intake manifold | When removing vacuum line (1a). | |
| 15 | Pull vacuum line (1a) out of holder and remove | When removing vacuum line (1a). | |
| 16 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 17 | Carry out brake test on the test stand | ||
