	Remove/install
1	Move front seat forward (1) and retract head restraint
2	Remove cover (2)		AR91.10-P-1200GQ
3	Remove screw (5)	Model 166 with code 494 (US version) Model 292 with code 494 (US version)
		Bolt, locking plate on belt end fitting/tensioner	*BA91.40-P-1002-01R
4	Remove tab washer (4)	Model 166 with code 494 (US version) Model 292 with code 494 (US version)
5.1	Pull seat belt (6) toward front (arrow) out of guide at front seat (1)	Model 166 with code 494 (US version) Model 292 with code 494 (US version) Do not twist seat belt (6).
5.2	Remove screw/bolt from belt end fitting (1c) and remove belt end fitting (1c)	Model 166 except code 494 (US version) Model 292 except code 494 (US version) Do not twist seat belt (6).
		Bolt, belt end fitting/tensioner on front seat	*BA91.40-P-1001-01R
6	Remove rear screws/bolts (3) from front seat (1)	Screw/bolt, seating mounting bracket to vehicle floor	*BA91.10-P-1001-01L
7	Move front seat (1) far enough to rear until the front screws/bolts (7) are accessible
8	Remove front screws/bolts (7) from front seat (1)	M Screw/bolt, seating mounting bracket to vehicle floor	*BA91.10-P-1001-01L
9	Remove cover (8) from guide rail		AR91.10-P-1200GQ
10	Disconnect battery ground line		AR54.10-P-0003GZ
11	Disconnect electrical connectors from electrical wiring harnesses (10) at front seat (1)
12	Unclip electrical wiring harnesses (10) from front seat (1)	Ensure that retaining clip (9) is correctly seated and the electrical wiring harnesses (10) are correctly routed.
13	Disconnect pneumatic line from bottom of front seat (1)	Model 166, 292 with code 399 (Multicontour front seats with massage function) Carefully detach pneumatically line. Danger of breakage.
14	Cover center console, door sill and steering wheel	Cover	Fig 3
15	Remove front seat (1) from the vehicle through the door cutout for the front door	Helper required. Check that the lock pin for the guide rail is correctly seated in the vehicle floor.
16	Put down front seat (1) and secure it against tipping over
17	Install in the reverse order
