Install Wiring Harness Of Additional Fan For COMAND - AN82.85-P-0005-02GQX

1. Form loops with wiring harness for COMAND fan motor (2) so that the wiring harness for the COMAND fan motor has a length of 600 mm (dimension a).
2. Wrap felt tape (10) around wiring harness for COMAND fan motor (2), as shown.

3. Install black 12-pin connector (2.2) into free slot of black 44-pin connector (11) of vehicle wiring harness.

   In vehicles with CODE 508 (Navigation box preinstallation) or CODE 509 (Navigation box) the slot is occupied. Remove, insulate and strap down given connector (no longer needed).

4. Route COMAND fan motor wiring harness (2) through the mounting slot for the COMAND controller unit and along the existing lines to the installation location for the COMAND fan motor (M4/13), then fasten in place using cable ties.

   The COMAND fan motor (M4/13) is installed at a later stage.
