Install Rear Fender - Ar63.50-P-1400-04GQX

  1. Install rear fender (1), trunk lid, taillamp and rubber seal and fit.
  2. Check and adjust gap dimensions.
  3. Fix rear fender (1) in place.
  4. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in rear fender (1) (area S).
  5. Remove rear fender (1).
  6. Deburr rivet holes on rear fender (1) on both sides.
  7. Install rubber window spacers from glazing repair kit as spacers on outer rear wheel well at uniform intervals.
  8. Apply sealant to outer rear wheel well, D-pillar and foam rubber elements (areas U and T).

  9. Install rear fender (1), fit and fix in place.
  10. Rivet rear fender (1) with Ø 6.4X14 Polygrip countersunk head rivet (area Z).
  11. Rear fender (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas W1, W2, W3, X1, X2, X3, Y1, Y2 and Y3).
  12. Rear fender (1) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (areas V1, V2 and V3).

    IMPORTANT Perform inert gas welding, allow to cool down in between to minimize heat distortion (areas V1, V2 and V3).

  13. Grind inert gas welds down flat on rear fender (1) (areas V1, V2 and V3).
  14. Clean welds on rear fender (1).
  15. Solder surface on rear fender (1) in area of inert gas welds with solder and smooth.
  16. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
