The union nuts for the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d) may only be tightened with torque after
installation of the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d).
Leakage will occur otherwise. Do not kink or bend the low-pressure line (1a) and high-pressure line (1b, 1c, 1d).
- Mount low-pressure line (1a) loosely on high-pressure pumps (2l, 2r) and on the left cylinder head cover.
Tighten screw/bolts (7) after alignment of the low-pressure line (1a) and tighten the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d) using torque.
- Mount high-pressure line (1b) on left rail (3l) and on left high-pressure pump (2l).
- Mount high-pressure line (1c) on left and right rail (3l, 3r).
- Mount high-pressure line (1b) on right rail (3r) and on right high-pressure pump (2lr).
Ensure correct routing of the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d).
- Mount clamps (5) for the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c) on the intake manifold.
- Mount clamps (6) for the low-pressure line (1a) and the high-pressure lines (1b, 1c, 1d) on cylinder head covers.
- Mount union nut of the fuel line on fuel distributor for low-pressure line (1a).
- Tighten union nuts with torque.
Comply with the tightening torques exactly.
Leaks can occur otherwise.
- Mount plastic retaining clip (4) between the low-pressure line (1a) and high-pressure line (1d).
