The head unit control unit is the central controller unit for the entertainment and communication systems integrated in the vehicle.

The head unit control unit controls the following functions:

• Multimedia system control
• Radio mode
• Media mode
• TV mode
• Smartphone integration
• Telephone
• Navigation

The head unit control unit is a subscriber in the following bus systems:

• Telematics CAN
• Powertrain CAN (depending on equipment)
• User interface CAN
• MOST

Location 

The head unit is located in the instrument panel on the driver's side.
