General

- Darkness detected reported by light sensor
- Exterior lights switch in "Auto" position
Comfort illumination
The following light functions are activated for comfort illumination:
- Standing light with higher output
- Outside mirror surround lighting (vehicles with Mirror Package)
- Door handle surround lighting (vehicles with KEYLESS-GO)
- Front lamp unit surround lighting (only Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) vehicle with dynamic LED headlamps)
Exit vehicle
After the engine is switched off by the driver (change from circuit 15 ON to circuit 15R ON) the surround lighting is activated for the configured time.
The opening of a vehicle door or the trunk lid or the liftgate resets the time counter and the function starts again. This also applies if all the vehicle doors are closed again.
The active surround lighting is terminated by switching on circuit 15 or by triggering an anti-theft alarm system (ATA) alarm (vehicles with ATA).
Locate vehicle
When the vehicle is unlocked the locator lighting is activated for a period of approx. 40 s (time for automatic relocking).
If the engine is started within a period of 40 s, the locator lighting changes to the automatic driving lights function.
Along with the exterior lighting, various interior lights are also switched on.
