Actuate reversing light
When the reverse gear (manual transmission) or drive range "R" (automatic transmission) is engaged, the reversing light is switched on. The central controller unit (control unit of the exterior lighting) actuates the reversing light at the rear of the vehicle itself or requests the actuation. This takes place depending on the network architecture of the vehicle.
Vehicles with trailer hitch
During trailer operation, the reversing lights on the trailer are also switched on. The central controller unit requests the actuation of the reversing lights on the trailer. The trailer recognition control unit implements this request.
