	Remove/install Mercedes star
1.1	Turn Mercedes star (13) by approx. 15° counterclockwise and remove from radiator grille	Model 117, 156, 166, 176, 242, 246 with code 239 (DISTRONIC PLUS) Model 117, 166, 176, 231, 242, 246 with code 233 (DISTRONIC PLUS) Ensure that the catch hooks of Mercedes star (13) first engage in the radiator grille.
1.2	Carefully unclip and remove Mercedes star (13) using a suitable tool at arrows (A)	Model 117, 166 except code 233 (DISTRONIC PLUS) except code 239 (DISTRONIC PLUS) Model 156 except code 239 (DISTRONIC PLUS) Model 176, 242, 246 except code 233 (DISTRONIC PLUS) except code 239 (DISTRONIC PLUS) Model 231 except code 233 (DISTRONIC PLUS)
2	Release and disconnect electrical connector (7) and remove COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST control unit (A90)	Model 176, 242, 246 with code 252 (COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST)
3	Check retaining lugs on Mercedes star (13)	If complaint present ↓ Replace Mercedes star (13).
