Remove Side Reinforcement - AR62.30-P-1401-01GQ

MODEL 166, 292 

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be accomplished analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

Shown on model 166.0 

1. Expose spot welds on side reinforcement (1) and cut out (areas A, C, D₁ and D₂ ).
2. Drill Ø 6.7 mm spot welds in side reinforcement (1) (areas B and D₃ ).
3. Expose spot weld on side reinforcement (1) and cut out (area F).

   Cut out spot weld from inside.

4. Drill Ø 6.7 mm spot welds in side reinforcement (1) (area E).
5. Remove damaged side reinforcement (1).

   Shown on model 166.0 

6. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal on crosshatched areas.

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

7. Coat insides of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
