Remove/Install Intermediate Gear For Engine Control - AR05.10-P-7620CD

Check intermediate gear for damage and wear, added

Operation step 4

	Removing
	Risk of injury  caused by moving parts that can pinch, crush  or, in extreme cases, even sever  extremities	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
1	Remove timing case cover		AR01.40-P-8000CD
2	Remove screws/bolts (1)
3	Pry off intermediate gear (2) using a suitable tool
	Checking
4	Check intermediate gears (2) for damage and wear	Replace intermediate gears (2) if necessary.
	Install
5	Plug intermediate gear (2) into bores (3)	Only as far as the gear (5) is still not engaged.
6	Pretension intermediate gear (2)	Tension gear (5) using a suitable plastic wedge (6) through applying short pressure anti-clockwise and press at the same time in the bore (3). The gear (5) must be tensioned anti-clockwise until the gears (4, 5) align with each other.
7	Screw in screw/bolts (1)		*BA05.10-P-1001-02A
8	Check spring preload	The gear (5) must be zero clearance.
9	Check basic setting of balance shaft	Adjust balance shafts if necessary. See: ↓	AR03.20-P-3637CD
		Set basic position of the balance shaft	AR03.20-P-3638CD
10	Check basic setting for camshafts.	Adjust camshafts if necessary. See: ↓	AR05.20-P-6010CD
		Set basic position of camshafts	AR05.20-P-6020CD
11	Install timing case cover		AR01.40-P-8000CD
