Retrofit Head-Up Display Module - AZ54.30-P-0002-02GQ

Do not place the head-up display module (2) directly on the mirror. Otherwise the surface of the mirror can get damaged.

1. Connect black 6-pin plug (1.4) to head-up display module (2).
2. Route head-up display wiring harness (1) behind the guide tab (5).

   The head-up display wiring harness (1) must be routed as shown.

   Otherwise the mechanism of head-up display (2) can get affected.

3. Fasten head-up display wiring harness (1) using cable tie (20) to head-up display module (2).

   Fix head-up display wiring harness (1) in place as shown.

   Otherwise, the impact safety of the head-up display module (2) may be impaired.

4. Cut off any excess cable tie (20) length.
5. Measure dimension A, determine position of head-up display module (2) on instrument panel upper part (4) and mark the position.

   Dimensions:

   A = 192 mm

6. Clean the surface of the instrument panel upper part (4) in the area around the installation location of the head-up display module (2).

   The bonding surface must be clean and free of grease. Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

7. Attach adhesive strips (6) to contact surfaces of head-up display module (2).

   Attach adhesive strips (6) on the complete contact surfaces. Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

8. Pull off protective foils on adhesive strips (6) on head-up display module (2).
9. Position head-up display module (2) at the marking and glue it with the instrument panel upper part (4).

   The shoulder of the head-up display module (2) must match with the shoulder between defroster cover (7) and instrument panel upper part (4) (arrow). Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

   All kinds of mechanical stress must be avoided during the first 24 hours. Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

   When pressing on, press directly on adhesive strips on head-up display module (2). The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx. 72 h at 20 °C.

10. Clean mirror of head-up display module (2) using a cloth after installation.
