Connection scheme
Routing diagram
- Disconnect black 1-pin connector (8.1) from cellular telephone system antenna amplifier/compensator (A28/3).
- Disconnect green plug (8.2) from mobile phone and stationary heater radio remote control antenna splitter (A2/53) and remove electrical line (15).
Electrical line (15) is no longer required.
- Disconnect blue plug (8.3) from mobile phone and stationary heater radio remote control antenna splitter (A2/53).
Expose electrical line (16) along existing lines and disconnect at stationary heater radio remote control receiver.
Electrical line (16) is no longer required.
- Disconnect black plug (8.4) from mobile phone and stationary heater radio remote control antenna splitter (A2/53).
- Remove mobile phone and stationary heater radio remote control antenna splitter (A2/53) from inside of left rear side wall.
Mobile phone and stationary heater radio remote control antenna splitter (A2/53) is no longer required.
- Affix velcro strip to back of cellular telephone system splitter (2).
- Detach carrier foil of velcro strip and stick cellular telephone system splitter (2) onto inside of left rear side wall.
- Connect vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line (4) to cellular telephone system antenna amplifier/compensator (A28/3).
- Connect cellular telephone system splitter/vehicle antenna line (7) to black plug (8.4).
- Fix created connector in place using felt tape on inside of left rear side wall.
- Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) from InCar Hotspot along existing lines to the cellular telephone system splitter (2) and fix in place with cable ties.
Use felt tape to protect and fix in place cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) in area of body edge.
Otherwise cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) may chafe through.
- Connect cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) to the cellular telephone system splitter (2).
- Connect white connector of power supply wiring harness (6) to InCar Hotspot (1).
- Route brown line (BN) of power supply wiring harness (6) from InCar Hotspot (1) to right rear seat ground (W17) and connect.
Strap down excess length of brown line (BN).
Use felt tape to fix power supply wiring harness (6) in place.
- Open cover for rear fuse box (F4).
- Route red/yellow line (RD/YE) and black/yellow line (BK/YE) of power supply wiring harness (6) along existing lines from InCar Hotspot (1) to rear fuse box (F4) and fix in place with cable ties.
- Unclip yellow 7-pin fuse carrier (9) from rear fuse box (F4) and connect black/yellow line (BK/YE) of power supply wiring harness (6) to fuse slot F4/f134 (arrow C) or fuse slot F4/f138 (arrow B).
The fuse slot F4/f134 (arrow C) and fuse slot F4/f138 (arrow B) are marked accordingly on the yellow 7-pin fuse carrier (9).
- Insert fuse into just installed fuse slot.
The fuse rating is 7, 5 A.
- Clip red/yellow line (RD/YE) of power supply wiring harness (6) with red fuse carrier (10) in fuse carrier slot F4/f122 (arrow A) of rear fuse box (F4).
The fuse carrier slot F4/f122 (arrow A) is marked accordingly on the rear fuse box (F4).
- Insert fuse into red fuse carrier (10).
The fuse rating is 7, 5 A.
- Insert jumper (11) for fuse F4/f122 into rear fuse box (F4).
The slot for the jumper (11) is marked on the rear fuse box (F4) with "I".
- Close cover for rear fuse box (F4).
- Remove connector housing of electrical line (20) from GSM glass-mount antenna (21) and attach to new connector housing included in package contents.
- Route electrical line (20) along existing lines of stationary heater radio remote control receiver (A6/1) to D-pillar at left and fix in place using cable ties.
Protect electrical line (20) in area of body edge using felt tape and fix in place.
Otherwise the electrical line (20) may chafe through.
- Stick GSM glass-mount antenna (21) in the left window between the C-pillar and D-pillar in the blackened area as discretely as possible.
- Connect GSM glass-mount antenna (21) to stationary heater radio remote control receiver (A6/1).
