	Remove/install
1	Lift vehicle with drive-on ramp and secure against rolling away
2.1	Remove expansion rivets (1, 1.1)	Model 166 with code 846 (Running boards) Clip remover	Figure
2.2	Remove expansion rivets (1)	Model 292 with code 846 (Running boards) Clip remover	Figure
3	Unscrew bolts from running board at rear of vehicle	Model 292 with code 846 (Running boards) On model 292 bolts are installed instead of expansion rivets (1.1).
4	Unlock catch tabs (3.1) by pulling at bottom section of running board paneling (2) and unclip running board paneling bottom section (2)
5	Open door
6	Unclip cover (3)	Long wedge	Figure
7	Unlock catch tabs (3.1) by pulling at top section of running board paneling (2) and unclip running board paneling top section (2)
8	Unscrew nuts (5) and remove vehicle jack lift support points (7)
9	Remove running board basic carrier (6)
10	Install in the reverse order
