Location

The stationary heater control unit is integrated in the stationary heater unit, which is located in the rear section of the left wheel arch.

Task

The stationary heater control unit has the following tasks:

Reading in of signals

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

Direct line

The signals from the following components are read via direct line:

IMPORTANT If the temperature of T = 125 °C is exceeded in the heater unit, the thermal fuse of the STH recognizes overheating via the temperature sensor and switches the stationary heater off with subsequent overheating locking.

Interior CAN

The signals are read in via the interior CAN.

The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see the appropriate block diagram or function schematic).

Evaluation of input factors

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

Actuation of components

The following components are actuated directly via a line:

Transmitting signals

The stationary heater control unit sends signals via interior CAN:

The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see the appropriate block diagram or function schematic).
