Head-Up Display, Basic Function - GF54.30-P-9894A
MODEL ALL (CAR)
with CODE 463 (Head-up display)
Location
The head-up display is located on the driver's side under the instrument panel and is attached at the instrument panel crossmember.
Task
The head-up display projects driving-relevant information (e.g. speed, navigation information) onto the windshield and into the field of view of the driver. The head-up display only shows information that is also shown on the instrument cluster display. The displaying of this information means that the driver does not have to avert his eyes from driving activities.
The head-up display receives the picture information processed by the instrument cluster control unit via the high speed video link (HSVL) interface.
The height and the brightness of the projection on the windshield can be adjusted. The displayed contents can be configured individually.
Furthermore, the personalized settings can be retrieved in vehicles with memory function via the memory function.
