Location 

The Audio/COMAND display is fitted to the top center of the instrument panel.

Tasks 

The Audio/COMAND display provides a uniform display of user-related operating and information windows and video images.

The Audio/COMAND display receives the following signals:

• Terminal 30g and terminal 31
• Control signals (e.g. switching on) via telematics CAN (CAN A) from the audio equipment
• Picture signals via the LVDS interface (low voltage differential signaling) from the audio equipment

The Audio/COMAND display evaluates the input factors in the integrated microprocessor and actuates the color screen.

The Audio/COMAND display has the following characteristics:

• 800 X 480 pixel resolution
• Format 15:9
• 8 bits per color
• High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP)
• Safety glass
