	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off on its own when jacked up. Risk of injury  caused by rotating parts when working on running engine or drive train.	Ensure that jack stands are in a safe condition. An authorized person must occupy the driver's seat. Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0008-01A
	Raise vehicle
1	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns
2	Install complete adapter set on vehicle jack support points	Only when the underfloor paneling is removed.

3	Align all vehicle lift support points under vehicle jack support points	Only lift vehicle on vehicle jack support points. Otherwise this leads to damage to the longitudinal frame members. Position vehicle lift support points (vertically adjustable) on vehicle jack support points of the body.
4	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift against falling over	When removing major assemblies e.g. engine, front axle carrier, and axles.	AR00.60-P-0100GZ
5	Lift vehicle on vehicle lift
	Jack up vehicle
6	Raise vehicle so that wheels are clear of the ground	When using pit lift or floor jack: Only position posts on front axle vehicle jack support point and rear axle vehicle jack support point. Otherwise damage occurs to the body and components.
7	Place jack stands below vehicle jack support points to secure vehicle against tilting and falling down
