Location
The cradle for the navigation module is in the glove compartment.

Connection of the navigation module (with CODE 509 (Navigation box)) to the vehicle
The navigation module can be connected via the cradle for the navigation module. The navigation module must be inserted by the customer into the cradle for navigation module.
Receive signals
- Receiving the power supply, circuit 30g and circuit 31
- Receiving the control signals via telematics CAN (CAN A) from the radio (A2)
- Receiving Global Positioning System (GPS) signals via the multifunction antenna (A28/11)
- Receiving audio signals from the radio via a direct line
- Reception of FM signals for Traffic Message Channel (TMC) from the FM 2, DAB and TV 1 antenna amplifier (A2/19) over the FM/TMC antenna splitter (A2/98)
Transmitting signals
- Transmitting the signals from the navigation module to the radio
- Transmitting audio signals to the radio via direct line
- Transmitting video signals to the radio via low voltage differential signal (LVDS) line
- Transmitting control signals to the radio via telematics CAN
The navigation module can be ejected from the navigation module cradle by pressing the release pin.
The release pin can be removed. The release pin can be ordered as a replacement part via Mercedes-Benz Accessories.
