Location 

The spray nozzle hose heater (R2/11) is connected at the hose connection of the washer fluid pump.

Task 

The spray nozzle hose heater should prevent the washer fluid from freezing inside the spray nozzle hose and the spray nozzles or should again defrost washer fluid which has already frozen.

The spray nozzle hose heater is actuated by the central controller unit (depending on the vehicle, the SAM control unit (N10) or front SAM control unit (N10/6)).

Structure 

The spray nozzle hose heater consists of a connector and the heating element.

The heating element runs within the spray nozzle hose.
