| 2 | Remove cover above heat shield (12). | ||
| 3 | Unclip wiring harness from retaining clips (14). | ||

| 5 | Remove screws (15) and remove heat shield (16). | *BA09.40-P-1005-01ZA | |

| 7 | Remove clamp (3) of right catalytic converter (4). | Pay attention to alignment of clamp (3). Leaks can occur otherwise. For two-piece clamp (3), replace screw/bolts and nuts. |

| 11 | Remove clamp (7). | Exhaust system must be aligned so that it is free of tension before tightening bolted connections. Otherwise, leaks in exhaust system will occur. |

| 12 | Secure right catalytic converter (4) against falling down. | ||

| 18 | Remove combustion and corrosion residues on flange connections. | ||
| 19 | Remove right lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter. | When replacing the right catalytic converter (4). | AR07.04-P-0083MNG |
| 20 | Remove right lambda sensor downstream of catalytic converter. | When replacing the right catalytic converter (4). | AR07.04-P-0084MNG |
| 21 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| 22 | Check installation position and unobstructed movement of right catalytic converter (4). | If a problem arises: ↓ Re-align right catalytic converter (4). |
