General 

The wiper blade heater prevents the washer fluid nozzles in the wiper blades from freezing and it prevents the wiper rubber sticking to the windshield.

Their flexibility is retained by heating up the wiper blades all over.

Function requirement 

• Engine running or drive train operational

Heat wiper blade 

From an outside temperature below 5°C, the wiper blade heater is activated and actuated cyclically up to -15°C. The cycle time here is always 60 s. If the outside temperature falls below -15°C, the wiper blades are permanently heated.

If the temperature changes, the preceding cycle is always run through to the end.

Actuation of the wiper blade heater is interrupted if the washer fluid pump is actuated. The wiper blade heater is actuated again 5 s after switching off the washer fluid pump.
